Nea Kallikratia Guide Privacy Policy
About This Privacy Policy
Nea Kallikratia Guide is operated by Nataliia Kirejeva, a sole trader established in Ireland, trading as NK Platform Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use kalikratia.com, why we collect it, what we do with it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.
For the purposes described in this Policy, the controller of your personal data is Nataliia Kirejeva, a sole trader established in Ireland, trading as NK Platform Studio. You can contact us about any privacy matter at admin@bbqr.site.
Operator Business Address
The business address of the controller is Main Street, Clonroche, Enniscorthy, Wexford, Y21WYK5, Ireland.
You may send privacy requests to that address in writing, although email to admin@bbqr.site is the fastest route and is the channel we monitor for data protection matters.
Scope of This Policy
This Policy covers personal data processed through Nea Kallikratia Guide: visitors who browse the guide, people who send contact messages, people who submit businesses, places or listings, people who leave reviews, and people who send booking or enquiry requests through the site.
It does not cover the independent processing carried out by restaurants, accommodation providers, tour providers, car rental companies, shelters or other third-party businesses listed on the guide. Those organisations decide for themselves how they use your data when you contact them directly or enter into an agreement with them.
Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- identification and contact data, such as your name, email address and telephone number;
- enquiry and booking-request data, such as requested dates, guest numbers, listing details, source page URL and message text;
- submission data, such as business name, place name, address, category, description, website, social links, contact details and photos you provide;
- review data, such as display name, email address, rating, comment, review status and the business or place reviewed;
- communication data, such as messages you send us and our replies;
- technical and security data, such as IP address, user agent, approximate device/browser information, language preference, pages visited and anti-spam verification data.
We ask only for the data needed to run the guide, process the request you send, moderate public content and protect the site from abuse.
Reviews and Public Content
If you leave a review, your display name, rating and comment may be published on the relevant business or place page after moderation. Your email address, IP address and user agent are not shown publicly; they are used for moderation, anti-spam checks, duplicate detection, notifications and security.
If you submit a business, place, listing, photo or description, the non-private listing information may be published in the guide after review. Do not submit personal data or content that you do not have permission to share.
Booking Requests and Business Enquiries
Some listings allow you to send a booking request or enquiry through the site. We use that data to create the request, notify the relevant business or listing owner where appropriate, respond to you and keep an administrative record of the request.
When your request concerns a third-party business or listing, we may share the request details with that business so it can answer you, confirm availability or provide the service. That business is responsible for its own later processing of your data.
Legal Bases and Purposes
We rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation:
- performance of a contract or steps taken at your request before entering into one, including sending contact messages, booking requests and listing enquiries;
- legitimate interests, including operating the guide, keeping it secure, preventing spam and abuse, moderating reviews, improving content, maintaining audit records and resolving disputes;
- compliance with legal obligations, including accounting, tax, consumer, safety and lawful authority requests where they apply;
- consent, including non-essential cookies, analytics and any marketing message you have asked to receive.
You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the site, remember language or consent choices, protect forms from spam and understand how the guide is used. Where non-essential analytics or advertising cookies are used, we ask for consent where required by law.
If advertising is enabled on the site, advertising partners such as Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure and improve ads. For visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, personalised advertising requires consent through a Google-certified consent management platform or another legally appropriate mechanism. More detail is provided in our Cookie Policy.
Service Providers and Other Recipients
We share personal data only where it is necessary:
- with the business, listing owner or service provider that needs to respond to your request;
- with hosting, database, email delivery, analytics, image storage, mapping, translation, captcha and security providers that help us operate the site;
- with professional advisers, insurers, auditors or technical contractors where necessary and under appropriate duties of confidentiality;
- with public authorities, courts or regulators where we are legally required to do so.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for the independent marketing purposes of third parties.
International Transfers
Our processing is primarily connected with the European Economic Area. Some providers, including analytics, email, hosting, image, mapping or security providers, may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the European Commission standard contractual clauses together with additional safeguards where required.
How Long We Keep Data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for.
- contact messages and business submissions are kept for as long as needed to answer, review and administer them;
- booking and enquiry requests are kept for as long as needed to support the request, resolve questions and maintain business records;
- reviews may remain published while the relevant page is active, unless removed by moderation or a valid legal request;
- technical logs and anti-spam data are kept for a limited period needed for security and abuse prevention;
- accounting, legal and dispute records are kept for the period required by applicable law or limitation periods.
Where a legal obligation or pending claim requires a longer period, we keep the data restricted to that purpose only and delete or anonymise it once the period ends.
Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted connections, access controls, restricted administrative access, spam protection, role-based admin tools and separation between public pages and private administrative areas.
No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the supervisory authority and, where required, you, in accordance with the GDPR.
Your Rights Under the GDPR
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy;
- have inaccurate data rectified and incomplete data completed;
- have your data erased where it is no longer needed or where processing was based on consent you have withdrawn;
- have processing restricted while an objection or question of accuracy is examined;
- receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format where the GDPR gives that right;
- object to processing carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests and to object at any time to direct marketing;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Write to admin@bbqr.site, stating what you are asking for and, where relevant, the page, review, request or booking ID concerned.
We respond within one month of receiving the request. That period may be extended by two further months where the request is complex or where several requests have been made, in which case we will tell you within the first month and explain why. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we will ask only for what is necessary to do so.
Children
The site is intended for general travel and local information. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the site. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it unless we are required to keep it.
Complaints to a Supervisory Authority
If you believe that our processing of your personal data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission, whose website is https://www.dataprotection.ie.
You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or where the alleged infringement took place. We would be grateful for the chance to address your concern first, so please consider contacting us before or alongside a complaint.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in the guide, in the providers we use or in the law. The current version is always available on the site, and the effective date is shown on the published page. Where a change materially affects how we use your data, we will bring it to your attention where required by law.
